As the eyes of the world turned to Houston for the third Democratic Party presidential debate of the 2020 election season, HUDL students tuned in to see how the candidates stacked up.
HISD's East Early College High School hosted a watch party for debate students to watch the ten-candidate debate, which was televised from the Texas Southern University campus. Students discussed the candidates' policy proposals, played "Democratic Debate Bingo," and shared their reactions with a news crew from ABC-13. Some of these students will no doubt get to cast their first vote when Texas holds its primary election in March 2020.
